Player Profiles
Ben Abrahams – A classy strong tackling defender who looks up when in possession and looks to pass. Ben is developing his skills with every game, but he is also a fantastic tennis player, so his availability for football matches is limited.
Ethan Ampadu – A confident player who loves to run with the ball at pace taking on opponents & can shoot with terrific power in both feet. Also very strong in the tackle. Ethan plays for Exeter City Youth & would love to follow in his fathers footsteps and play for Exeter City & Arsenal.
Joe Balkwill – Strong in the tackle & has explosive pace. Likes to beat defenders for pace down the wing & play dangerous crosses into the box. Finishes well & tracks back to make last ditch tackles. Joe plays for Exeter City Youth.
Joe Blackwell – A no nonsense tough tackling defender who always gives 100% commitment to the team. Gaining confidence to bring the ball out of defence and distribute to the forward players. Joe has a terrific sense of positioning and is the defensive rock of the team. Very good communicator on the pitch.
Thomas Cox – A class defender with a good awareness of situations in the style of Bobby Moore. Looks up to play a pass when in possession. Reads the game well and has great pace over 5 yards to close down attackers and make last ditch tackles. Developing his game by taking the ball off our keeper and looking for a pass.
Oliver Evans – A natural goalscorer and a free kick specialist, with a powerful right foot shot. Oliver is most dangerous when running at goal, however he is developing his game by playing deeper & linking up play. Oliver plays for Exeter City Youth.
Sam Fulthorpe – A versatile player who played in every position last season & won the most improved player award in the 2009-10 season. Sam is also an outstanding Rugby player, and is also a “boxer” & does cycle speedway. Not sure how he finds time for footy.
Dan Hodges – A competitive player with a passion for football & winning. Dan has the best left foot in the club, but is now more confident to use his right foot. This season Dan has demonstrated a fantastic first touch into space. Looking to concentrate on the “next job” during games.
Freddie James – Joined Stoke Hill in the summer of 2009 & has made an instant impact. Highly skillfull, a good first touch & has the vision to bring others into the game. A natural finisher in front of goal.
Morgan Pearce – Morgan is very comfortable on the ball with great awareness & he has high technical skills. Morgan is confident receiving the ball from the keeper, turning, looking up & making a quality pass. Currently on a 6 month trial with Plymouth Argyle.
Harry Pollard – Harry is our Bryan Robson, Captain Fantastic. He works his socks off for the team as a defensive midfielder allowing the wingers to get forward. Harry, wins every tackle, and header, battles to regain possession & makes last ditch defensive tackles.
John-Morgan Ross – John-Morgan is a goalkeeper with great reflexes & he is very strong at saving “one on ones”. Developing his distribution by rolling the ball out & helping the team to play a better quality passing game. JM also loves to play outfield when possible.
Callum Whiteoak. – Callum has good skills on the ball & finds time & space to play football. Has a natural instinct as a finisher in front of goal, but equally effective playing in Midfield. Callum plays for Exeter City Youth.
